SubFusion Subtitles from every source, in the languages you read

How it works

SubFusion searches SubSource, SubDL, OpenSubtitles and Gestdown with your own API keys and returns one ranked list of subtitles in the languages you choose — including anime episodes hidden in “Extras” sections. Your keys are encrypted into a personal install link and never stored on the server.

You are responsible for using your own accounts and complying with each provider's terms of service.

Subtitle providers

Enable at least one provider and paste its API key. The order sets search priority — drag or use the arrows.

    Subtitle languages

Search and add languages in order of preference. The first one is your primary language and is used for dual-language tracks.

      Up to 10 languages.

      Dual-language subtitles

For learners: your primary language and a second language merged into a single track, listed first under your primary language. Timing follows the primary track; the second language is aligned to it.

      Fonts in styled (ASS) subtitles

A font can only travel inside an ASS file. Plain SRT subtitles always use the device font — a Kufi face on many Android phones — unless SubFusion creates a styled version for them.

Adds an ASS entry with the addon font for every plain subtitle. Fonts render only where ASS is drawn by libass: Stremio on Android with the MPV player selected (Settings → Player), external players such as mpv or VLC, and desktop/web with the ASS styling setting. Android's default ExoPlayer shows ASS text in the device font.

Stremio for Android: the default player draws ASS without libass — device font, no sign colours, and vector drawings appear as strings of numbers. Turn on the app's experimental SSA/ASS subtitle setting or select the MPV player (Settings → Player); otherwise pick the .srt entry.

      Advanced

External players only (mpv, VLC, Kodi). Stremio's own renderer cannot see device fonts and would show missing glyphs.

      Appearance of styled subtitles

Stremio's own subtitle settings do not apply to ASS rendered by libass, so set the look here. This defines the styled version of plain subtitles; fansub scripts keep their author's styling unless you turn on the last switch.

Only the dialogue styles that receive the addon font are changed — sizes and outlines are scaled to the script's own resolution. Banners and signs (positioned or animated lines) keep their author's colours and fonts sizes; karaoke and positions stay as authored.

      Translation teams

Many titles have a team viewers look for first — DCAN for Detective Conan. Their uploads are recognised from the release name and uploader, and ranked the way you choose; the star badge still shows how well each file matched.

      Advanced

      Arabic punctuation and text direction

Some subtitle files put the punctuation at the start of each line so it looks right in old players; it then shows on the wrong side in Nuvio, Android and Stremio Web. Automatic re-orders those lines in SRT, WebVTT and the styled copies made from them, and leaves fansub ASS scripts exactly as their authors designed them, since libass players render those correctly.
